Part 2 ~ Creating Product Value eBook

So last week I posted the first part of the eBook which centered around the inception or “idea phase”. This week we move on to the next phase in the process:

The Rationale

We now should now know what the problem we’re trying to solve is. This brings us to the next question that must be asked about the new product offer.

Why should anyone care?

This step is all around validation, its trying to find the true value in the offer.

Sticking with our Okonomiyaki example here were a couple values I saw:

  • Okonomiyaki is a wonderful dish that is quite popular in Japan.
  • There is demand in America from food-goers around tasting exotic foods.
  • The glut of Teriyaki and low end Chinese restaurants doesn’t represent the best foods available from Asia.
